Start with the room, not the catalog. Clear ceiling height decides how many levels you can fit: plan for roughly 10 ft for two levels and 14–17 ft for three. Columns, doors, fire exits and sightlines for staff shape the footprint more than the play features do.
Match levels to your age groups. A separate toddler area keeps under-threes away from faster, older children. Most family entertainment centers serve ages 2–12 and add a fenced toddler zone inside or beside the main structure.
Plan the attractions that drive repeat visits. Spiral and wave slides, ball blasters and obstacle runs are what children remember. We plan connection points so these can be added in a later phase.
| Venue type | Typical footprint | Typical levels |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant or retail play corner | 100–300 sq ft | 1 |
| Church or community hall | 300–1,200 sq ft | 1–2 |
| Play café or small FEC | 400–900 sq ft | 2 |
| Family entertainment center | 1,500–4,000 sq ft | 3 |
Ranges are typical starting points; your layout drawing sets the final size.
FAQ
Cost depends on footprint, number of levels, theme work and attractions such as slides or ball blasters. Because we manufacture directly, we quote from your layout drawing rather than a price list. Send your floor plan for an itemized quote.
ASTM F1918 is the US standard for soft contained play equipment. We design with reference to it and supply drawings and material information for your inspector or insurer.
Allow roughly 10–14 weeks from first drawing to opening: about 1–2 weeks for layout approval, 20–35 working days of production, 4–6 weeks of ocean freight to a US port, then installation.
Every structure ships with numbered parts, assembly drawings and video guidance. Many owners use a local contractor; on-site supervision can be quoted separately.
